Study!Honk Tips:
Think!Honk-it once, or make it a regular thing. You can work alone or with your friends and neighbors. Doing this attracts others, so bring extra signs. Browse this website to see what others are doing. Plan a place and time that has good traffic flow and visibility. It's critical that your Elected Officials get the People's message, so hit them! And keep coming back. Make!Express your feelings! Include the "Honk To Impeach!" message. If your Representative took campaign donations from war profiteers like Raytheon, (as did my Rep, Ed Markey,) you might want to raise that issue. "Let Representative Smith hear you!" Suggested materials include cardboard, (White is usually best.) and foamboard, (office supply stores stock this, and it's waterproof.) Pencil-in your text, then, when it looks right, darken the letters. Or lay out some adhesive letters and stick 'em, or and trace them in pencil then paint with markers Map It!Announce a scheduled Honk on the BIG MAPGo!Bring your friends, bring extra signs and some bicycle horns for walkers to use. Bring cameras and bring Petitions. (download petitions here) Honker's Code:

From The Editor: I was born in 1963 as our President was executed. I remember Vietnam, and Watergate. We are at the brink of insane worldwide religious war, threatened by nukes, chems, germs and who knows what. What's Bush's response to the weather catastrophes we know are caused by his oil industry pals? Katrina Style Military brutailty. This is Bush policy, not just incompetence. Can you leave a world like this to our children? |
Do it for Alex In Memoriam Alexander Arredondo
Melida Arredondo's stepson was taken from her family by predatory recruiters. They target Hispanics, the economically disadvantaged, and single parent families, particularly with a female head-of-household. for their so-called "volunteer" Army. They offered young Alex a huge "signing bonus," which he accepted. He went to Iraq and served bravely. She now wears his tags in memorial. |
